I haven't posted on the blog in a longtime - the kids are keeping me too busy! I just wanted to give a brief update...Alex is (obviously) walking all over the place. She tries to run, to keep up with Noah, and then she falls on her face and says "Whoa!" She's a tough little girl and she can definitely hold her own with Noah! Alex is talking and understanding a lot theses days. Some of her favorite words right now are: cheese, outside, all done, ba-ba, bye-bye, be-be (blanky). Yes, she still drags her gigantic red blanky around and she still sucks her thumb like there's no tomorrow. She is into all kinds of trouble these days and she thinks it's hilarious...until she doesn't get her way and then you've never seen a tantrum like this from someone so young! She flops around on the ground, sobs like she's dying, and she is so mad at me she wont let me pick her up or she hits me. Oh well, at least she's cute right? She's still got all kinds of fat rolls, her hair is getting long and with the humidity here it curls up and is so cute!
Noah is getting tall - it's strange to see him turn into a kid. He talks non-stop and the things he comes up with are hilarious. Here are some of his most recent sayings:
"I'm gonna ride my bike REALLY fast! I want to feel the wind blowing through my hair!"
"Look mom, what a nice sunny day! That means we can play outside."
Referring to himself - "It's no fun being small"
Referring to his poop - "It's a twisty-rolly one!"
With a tilt of the head and a super cheesy smile - "Pretty Please-ey?"
Sternly - "Is that a deal mommy?"
It's something new everyday. Right now Noah's favorite thing to do it play outside. He loves to ride his lightning mcqueen bike, "work" in the garden, go to the park, walk to the lake. When daddy comes home he loves to rough house/jump/wrestle on our big bed with him. Noah and Alex have fun playing "chase" together. Noah also thinks he's Alex's disciplinarian.
Paul is on an Anesthesia rotation right now and so far so good - maybe this will be the one! All our 4th year friends graduate this weekend and move next week. That makes us the 4th years...pretty weird! Paul will start the residency application process in september, that makes it seem a little more real, but we wont know where we are going until March. It'll be another busy year for us but an exciting one too hopefully!
Well, I think that's it. It's hard to keep up with everybody these days so I'll have to get back into the habit of blogging. We can't wait to see everyone next month - Noah talks about it all the time! Love you all...
