Hey dad...

Can you make this - (our ugly fireplace)

Look like this? (a pretty fireplace I swiped it off some strangers blog)

I promise to make this inexperienced man give you all the help he can...

and then, as a form of payment... I promise to make this little boy smother you with cuddles and kisses, and I might even try my hardest to make his first word be something like "bompa"

but seriously... who could resist a face like that?
you interested, dad?
I think this might be the best business offer you have ever had.

Triple Layer Chocolate Mousse?

We eat a lot when we all get together. We encouraged Boston to join in on our family tradition 0f pigging out - I think this is Triple Layer Chocolate Mousse that he is getting fed . . .
I think he likes it !

We miss you already Boston. Came back to California and Grandma will give you more chocolate :)

Tiffany runs in the San Francisco Marathon

Tiffany set a goal sometime early this year that she wanted to complete a marathon. She started training and had problems with shin splints and had to cut back on her running. Not to mention the Arizona heat - she would have to get up at 4 am to do her running and even then would end up in 90 - 100 + tempretures at the end of her runs. I thought maybe she would have to just sit this marathon out but she insisted on going for it anyways. Despite the road blocks she kept going and here she is sprinting toward the finish line . . .
She completed the full marathon in 5 hrs and 10 min. and was so happy afterwards. She did great and we were all SO PROUD of her accomplishment and determination.

She is WINNER!!!!!
We were lucky that she chose San Francisco to run her first Marathon so we could share in the excitement with her both before and after. Congratulations Tiffany!!!! You're awesome!

Family Fun

Over the weekend we had some family fun. We met for dinner in San Francisco and fueled Tiffany up for her upcoming Marathon and just enjoyed spending time together.
All of us at Fisherman's Wharf . . .
Boston strolling thru the streets of San Francisco . . . Tiffany and Randy enjoying their mini vacation . . . .

Tiffany's Beautiful Quilt

Tiffany and Randy came out for just the weekend. While they were there we had my parents come over to visit with everyone. My Mom presented Tiffany with this beautiful quilt that she has been working on for over a year. It is gorgeous and absolutley amazing. I wish I could show you all the detail that is in it. This picture below s of the back side - to show how elaborate the quilting is on it.
My Mom figured she had at least 250 hours in it - WOW!!! She is incredibly talented - not to mention patient and determined to take on a project of this magnitude.

Of course Tiffany loved it - it's in her favorite colors of natural creams and browns. It will definately become a family heirloom that will be cherished. Thanks so much Mom!!! No one could have a better mother or grandma. We're appreciate all you do for us so much!

It's all about baby Boston

This past week Michelle, John, and their baby Boston came out to spend a week with us. Of course the majority of the focus was on Boston. He is just so adorable we couldn't get enough of him! Here he is enjoying Grandpas backyard . . . .
Boston getting sick of all the pictures Grandma is taking . . . .
As much as we adore Boston - it's just as much fun to see how much Michelle and John adore Boston - it's just total happiness . . . .

Landon appears to be the favorite Uncle . . . . he deserves a few perks like that for being stuck with bieng the only child left at home. He had a lot of fun with Boston . . .

A remarkably happy baby . . . .

Landon even stepped up to the plate and watched Boston one morning when I was out and Michelle got really sick. He was a pretty good babysitter despite his lack of experience.

I guess Boston + all of us = good times :)
