His 2nd Game today

Landon got 6 outs in this game - including another double play. And three hits with 2 RBI's. He played better than anyone else on the team today. It was his best game ever.

Landon's Big Day

Landon's pitching at his 2 games today was fabulous. In the last inning of his first game Landon pitched and then got all 3 outs - including a double play.

Noah sick

The day after our beach trip Noah woke up puking at 6am. (Maybe it was all those dead fish!) He was really sick for a full 24 hours. He kept falling asleep sitting up in this chair. He got really mad at me when I took this picture because he said the camera flash was "too bright!"

Lake Erie Beach

We went to the beach with some friends last weekend and Alex was a great little beach baby. Noah loves the beach too - the problem was keeping him away from the water. It was brown with trash and dead fish floating in it. The shoreline was covered with dead rotting fish carcasses too. Disgusting! We won't be going back to Lake Erie again! We kept telling Noah we couldn't go in the water because of the "yucky fishies in the water." I told him the other day that we would go to the beach with Grandma and Grandpa Hunt when we come to visit. He was really excited and he said (with a big smile on his face) "Yucky fishies in the water!"

Noah loves to take showers now!

More Chicago

We really liked our hotel room. It had these cool window seats and we had an awesome view of the city and the river. Alex and I liked to sit up there and look at everthing.

Chicago

Our trip was so much fun. Thanks for watching Noah Grandma!

Kid's Quotes

For my talk last week for Easter I went thru my kid's quote book and told about what Summer had to say about Jesus when she was 5 years old. -

Summer: " That's a statue of Jesus. You know how special that is. It makes me want to cry."

Mom: "Why?"

Summer: "Because Jesus is so special to us. If we didn't have Jesus we'd have no where to go when we die. We wouldn't even be on earth. Just the dinosoars, and cavemans, and pilgrims."

Tanner's trip to Bishop

These are my five favorite pictures from my trip to Bishop this past week. This place is home to some of the best bouldering in the world. We drove eight hours to get there and slept in the desert for three days. We climbed all week at the base of the huge Sierras. It was pretty dang tight.

Kindergarten Easter Egg Hunt!

So Thursday we had our big Kindergarten Easter Egg Hunt with all 4 kinder classes together (that's over 100 kindergarteners!) and the kids had a blast! There were about 1,000 plastic easter eggs filled with candy just covering the playground, because there was too many to even bother hiding them. The kids were soooo excited when they saw them! One of my girls yelled "Holy Damn!" when she saw the playground and all the other kids were freaking out saying "Ms. Hunt! She said Holy Damn!" It was hilarious. Then when we blew the whistle for them to go get all the eggs they could they all literally ran over eachother and kids were crying, just getting trampled. Kids would trip and fall and all their eggs would go flying and their friends would come running over and you'd think they were going to help their friend up and then they'd just all start grabbing the poor kids eggs that spilled, trying to hurry and get them in their own basket before she could get back up and put them back in hers. : ) It was hilarious!

USA Today ran a front page article today about house calls. I don't know if I told all of you, but I spent last summer doing house calls/research with a doc who is interviewed in the story (Steve Landers). As part of our research, I also spoke with several of the other doctors featured in the article. We're going to present our results next month at the national meeting of The American Geriatrics Society in Chicago. Check it out:
